Several months ago my computer was hit by 3 trojans and Spyware that took several weeks to get rid of.
In March 2004 I was hit by what my modem techs called "The Big Nasty". I couldn't sign onto the internet, it took me 3 days to find the help needed to disable the virus and get back online. I had already spent $90. on two programs which did not do what they were supposed to do!
I was told by a local computer repair service "Bring me your computer, I will get it back online for you."
Sure he would! And he would have charged me over $300. I found out that the programs the computer repair people use are the same one that millons use for free. The problems are the same whether you have a new operating system or an old one like Windows98 or Windows98SE.
Some of your children's games may include SpyWare.
Many of the Downloads or Upgrades for media players include spyware or adware.
